B. Rewrite the following sentences adding appropriate question tag.

b. I’m very patient, aren't I ?
c. They’d never met me before, had they?

g. Hari used to live in France as a boy, didn't he?
h. You’d better not take a hard drink, had you?

C. Read the following situations. What do you say in these situations? Use question tags.
a. The sky is full of cloud. You can see lightning and hear thunder. It’s going to rain soon, isn't it? b. You want to pay the taxi fare but you are short by 100 rupees. Shyam, you must lend me Rs. 100, musn't you? c. You have met a stranger at a party and you want to have a chat with him/ her. Let's have a conversation, shall we? d. You came out of the film hall with your friend. You enjoyed the film. The film was amazing, wasn't it?
e. You and your friend listened to a comedian on the stage and felt spellbound
by his/her performance.
He gave an excellent performance, didn't he?
f. You think your friend’s father has arrived from the US but you are not sure.
Your father has arrived from the US, hasn't he?
g. You think Susan will join the new job tomorrow but you are not sure
Susan will join the new job tomorrow, won't she ?
h. Your friend’s hair looks too short.
You have got too short hair, haven't you?
i. You want to go for a picnic with your friends in class.
Let’s go picnic with classmates, shall we?
j. You want permission from your father to go for a walk.

Email Writing Section

        Email, simply refers to electronic mail. Email writing is an way of sending messages to one or more recipients through telecommunications links between computers using certain software or web-based facility. Email writing involves the following parts : 

1) Header : 
 
From : It includes email address of the sender.
 To : It includes email address of the recipient.
 Date : It is automatic in computer network system and it is optional to make column for it in exam.
 Cc : Carbon Copy includes additional recipient names and web addresses.
 Bcc : Blind copy or complimentary copy also includes additional recipients that are hidden from view.
 Subject : The topic of the message is written here.


2) Body : 
 
    Start body part by addressing the recipient in a manner fitting the relationship you have with them. For unfamiliar people, use 'To whom it may concern' or 'Dear sir/madam'. For senior officials, stick to their destination or follow it with their name  like 'To the manager', 'Dear Mr. Dhakal'. Also, we can use 'Greetings' 'Hello there', 'Dear (company name) team, 'Dear hiring manager'.

    Opening paragraph should set the tone and reason for email. Introduce yourself if you are stranger to the person you are writing to or use following phrases :
-I hope things in Bhutan are going well.
-How are the things going in Bhutan ?
-It's been long I haven't heard anything from you.

    You’ll probably find that most of the time, you write formal emails in English to people you don’t know or people you don’t know very well. And, of course, you’re writing to give them a good impression of your professionalism and abilities. So you can ask yourself the following questions :
-Do I need to remind them of who I am if we’ve met?
-Do I need to give them context for my request?
-Do I need to give them background information on the ideas I will propose or suggestions I make?

Use the following phrases so it sounds formality in your email : -I’m reaching out because… -As you may know, our department is currently looking for someone to… -A colleague of mine recently informed me about job opportunity in your company, so… -You mentioned in our last meeting that you wanted to focus on content strategy, so I want to suggest that…

Most emails that you send in a professional setting require some action. It’s important to be as clear as you can about what action or actions you need the reader to take through following phrases :
-Let me know what you think about my ideas/suggestions.
-Let me know when you would be available to meet next week.
-Please review the following attachments before our next meeting.
-Can you please review the agenda for the meeting and let me know if you have any suggestions?


3) Ending : 
 Use one of the following simple words or phrases that conveys respect :
  - Best regards, Warmly, Sincerely, Kind regards, Thanks, etc.
